Introduction to Infrastructure Development Office
For the implementation of the federal structure envisaged in the Constitution of Nepal, various specialized offices have been established under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of province 1 in accordance with provincial organizational structure with the objective to make the people of the province socially and economically prosperous. Out of these offices, 7 Infrastructure Development Offices have been set up for 14 districts of the province for the construction of provincial roads and bridges, out of which Infrastructure Development Office, Jhapa was established in Chandragadi, the district headquarters of Jhapa , in 2075 BS with the view to implement road and bridge infrastructure development projects in Jhapa and Ilam districts. Under this office, various roads, motorable RCC bridges and suspension bridges are being implemented.
